Dinner in London – dreaming of things to come!

Last night I met a travel buddy friend of mine for dinner in London. She’s working and studying here and I’m just in the city for 10 days for a job. We met in Utila, Honduras when she was volunteering on a conservation project that I got involved in whilst I was there diving, partying and generally being a travel bum! I find nowadays that most people I enjoy spending time with are other travellers, we understand each other’s wanderlust without question. Last night was particularly exciting, because as well as filling her in on my latest trip to Egypt, Jordan & Israel and catching up on all the latest gossip in our lives, we started talking about forthcoming travels, always a backpacker’s favourite topic of conversation! K is going to come out to Australia next year to meet up after my trails around SE Asia, and we’re both planning on getting working holiday visas for a year – and talking about living in Sydney together for six months or so. All very exciting stuff, I would say I can’t wait – apart from there’s going to be a whole heap of adventures between now and then, so I don’t mind waiting for this one!
